Modem

El módem se define como una combinación de las palabras "Modulador" y "Demodulador". Un acceso telefónico o un módem es un dispositivo que conecta computadoras a una red pública, y una computadora es un dispositivo que conecta computadoras en ubicaciones remotas. El módem transporta datos convirtiendo las señales de voz en señales de voz a señales de voz. Es un elemento de red que se debe encontrar para establecer una red amplia.
