Exogène
Exogène se réfère à une action ou un objet venant de l'extérieur d'un système. C'est l'opposé de l'endogène, quelque chose généré à partir du système. ▪ Dans un modèle économique, un changement exogène est celui qui vient de l'extérieur du modèle et n'est pas expliqué par le modèle. Par exemple, dans le modèle simple de l'offre et de la demande, une modification des goûts ou des préférences des consommateurs est inexpliquée par le modèle et entraîne également des changements endogènes de la demande qui entraînent des changements dans le prix d'équilibre. De même, une variation du revenu du consommateur est donnée en dehors du modèle. Autrement dit, un changement exogène implique une altération d'une variable autonome, c'est-à-dire non affectée par le fonctionnement du modèle. ▪ En régression linéaire, cela signifie que la variable est indépendante de toutes les autres valeurs de réponse. ▪ En biologie, "exogène" désigne une action ou un objet venant de l'extérieur d'un système. Par exemple, un agent de contraste exogène dans l'imagerie médicale se réfère à un liquide injecté par voie intraveineuse qui augmente la visibilité d'une pathologie, telle qu'une tumeur.
