Fluorescéine
La fluorescéine est un composé organique synthétique disponible sous la forme d'une poudre d'orange foncé / rouge peu soluble dans l'eau et l'alcool. Il est largement utilisé comme traceur fluorescent pour de nombreuses applications. La fluorescéine est un fluorophore couramment utilisé en microscopie, dans un type de laser colorant comme moyen de gain, en médecine légale et en sérologie pour détecter les taches de sang latentes et dans le traçage des colorants. La fluorescéine a un maximum d'absorption à 494 nm et un maximum d'émission de 521 nm. Les principaux dérivés sont l'isothiocyanate de fluorescéine et, dans la synthèse des oligonucléotides, la phosphoramidite 6-FAM. La fluorescéine possède également un point isosbestique à 460 nm. La fluorescéine est également connue comme un additif coloré. La forme de sel de disodium de la fluorescéine est appelée uranine ou D et C Jaune no. 8. La couleur de sa solution aqueuse varie du vert à l'orange en fonction de la manière dont elle est observée: par réflexion ou par transmission, comme on le remarque dans les niveaux de bulle dans lesquels la fluorescéine est ajoutée comme colorant à l'alcool remplissant le Tube pour augmenter la visibilité de la bulle d'air et la précision de l'instrument. Des solutions plus concentrées de fluorescéine peuvent même apparaître en rouge.
