Géographie
La géographie est un domaine de la science consacré à l'étude des terres, des caractéristiques, des habitants et des phénomènes de la Terre. Une traduction littérale serait "décrire ou écrire sur la Terre". La première personne à utiliser le mot «géographie» était Eratosthène. Quatre traditions historiques dans la recherche géographique sont l'analyse spatiale des phénomènes naturels et humains, les études de zones, l'étude de la relation homme-terre et la recherche dans les sciences de la Terre. Néanmoins, la géographie moderne est une discipline globale qui vise avant tout à comprendre la Terre et toutes ses complexités humaines et naturelles - et non pas simplement où sont les objets, mais comment ils ont changé et se sont révélés. La géographie a été appelée «la discipline mondiale» et «le pont entre la science humaine et la science physique». La géographie est divisée en deux branches principales: la géographie humaine et la géographie physique.
