Trastuzumab
Le Trastuzumab est un anticorps monoclonal qui interfère avec le récepteur HER2 / neu. Son utilisation principale est de traiter certains cancers du sein. Les récepteurs HER sont des protéines intégrées dans la membrane cellulaire et communiquent des signaux moléculaires de l'extérieur de la cellule à l'intérieur de la cellule et activent et émettent les gènes. Les protéines HER stimulent la prolifération cellulaire. Dans certains cancers, notamment certains types de cancer du sein, HER2 est surexprimé et provoque des cellules cancéreuses à se reproduire de manière incontrôlable. Les études originales du trastuzumab ont montré qu'il améliorait la survie globale dans le cancer du sein tardif de 20,3 à 25,1 mois. Au début du cancer du sein, il réduit le risque de retour du cancer après la chirurgie par un risque absolu de 9,5%, et le risque de décès par un risque absolu de 3% augmente cependant les problèmes cardiaques graves par un risque absolu de 2,1% qui peut résoudre Si le traitement est arrêté. Le Trastuzumab est également étudié pour le traitement d'autres cancers. Il a été utilisé avec un certain succès chez les femmes atteintes de carcinomes séreux papillaires utérins qui surexpriment HER2 / neu.
