QUE SIGNIFIE HISTORICIST EN ANGLAIS
L'historicisme
L'historicisme est un mode de pensée qui attribue une signification centrale et fondamentale à un contexte spécifique, comme la période historique, l'endroit géographique et la culture locale. En tant que tel, il contraste avec les théories individualistes des savoirs tels que l'empirisme et le rationalisme, qui néglige le rôle des traditions. L'historicisme a donc tendance à être herméneutique, car il accorde une grande importance à une interprétation prudente, rigoureuse et contextualisée de l'information, ou relativiste, car elle rejette des notions d'interprétations universelles, fondamentales et immuables. Le terme a développé des significations différentes et divergentes, bien que lâchement liées. Les éléments de l'historicisme apparaissent dans les écrits du philosophe italien G. B. Vico et l'essayiste français Michel de Montaigne, et sont devenus pleinement développés avec la dialectique de G. W. F. Hegel, influente dans l'Europe du XIXe siècle. Les écrits de Karl Marx, influencés par Hegel, contiennent également l'historicisme. Le terme est également associé aux sciences sociales empiriques et au travail de Franz Boas.

La première définition d'historiciste dans le dictionnaire est quelqu'un qui croit que les lois naturelles régissent les événements historiques qui, à leur tour, déterminent les phénomènes sociaux et culturels. Une autre définition d'historiciste est quelqu'un qui défend la doctrine selon laquelle chaque période de l'histoire a ses propres croyances et valeurs inapplicables à tout autre, de sorte que rien ne peut être compris indépendamment de son contexte historique. L'historiciste est aussi quelqu'un qui met trop l'accent sur l'histoire, l'historicisme, les styles passés, etc.
