Meta-éthique
La méta-éthique est la branche de l'éthique qui cherche à comprendre la nature des propriétés éthiques, des déclarations, des attitudes et des jugements. La méta-éthique est l'une des quatre branches d'éthique généralement reconnues par les philosophes, les autres étant l'éthique descriptive, l'éthique normative et l'éthique appliquée. Bien que l'éthique normative aborde des questions telles que «Qu'est-ce que l'on devrait faire?», Appuyant ainsi certaines évaluations éthiques et rejetant d'autres, la méta éthique aborde des questions telles que «Qu'est-ce que le bien? Et "Comment pouvons-nous dire ce qui est bon de ce qui est mauvais?", En cherchant à comprendre la nature des propriétés éthiques et des évaluations. Certains théoriciens soutiennent qu'un récit métaphysique de la morale est nécessaire pour une bonne évaluation des théories morales réelles et pour prendre des décisions morales pratiques; D'autres raison des prémisses opposées et suggèrent que nous devons transmettre des idées d'intuition morale à une action appropriée avant de pouvoir rendre compte de la métaphysique de la morale.
