L'optimisme est une attitude mentale ou une vision du monde qui interprète les situations et les événements comme étant les meilleurs, ce qui signifie que, d'une certaine manière, pour des facteurs qui ne sont peut-être pas entièrement compris, le moment présent est dans un état optimal. Le concept est généralement étendu pour inclure l'attitude d'espoir pour les conditions futures qui se déroulent aussi optimale.
