Probabilité
La probabilité est une mesure de la probabilité qu'un événement se produise. La probabilité est utilisée pour quantifier une attitude d'esprit vers une proposition dont la vérité n'est pas certaine. La proposition d'intérêt est généralement de la forme "Un événement spécifique se produira-t-il?" L'attitude de l'esprit est sous la forme: "Comment certains d'entre nous sont-ils que l'événement se produira?" La certitude que nous adoptons peut être décrite en termes de mesure numérique et ce nombre, entre 0 et 1, nous appelons probabilité. Ainsi, plus la probabilité d'un événement est élevée, plus nous sommes certain que l'événement se produira. Un exemple simple serait le lancer d'une pièce équitable.
