La psychologie est une discipline académique et appliquée qui implique l'étude scientifique des fonctions mentales et des comportements. Les psychologues d'orientations diverses considèrent également l'inconscient. Les psychologues utilisent des méthodes empiriques pour inférer les relations causales et corrélatives entre les variables psychosociales.
