Thermomètre à résistance
Les thermomètres à résistance, également appelés détecteurs de température de résistance, sont des capteurs utilisés pour mesurer la température en corrélant la résistance de l'élément RTD avec la température. La plupart des éléments de RTD se composent d'une longueur de fil enroulé fin enroulé autour d'un noyau en céramique ou en verre. L'élément est généralement assez fragile, donc il est souvent placé dans une sonde gainée pour la protéger. L'élément RTD est fabriqué à partir d'un matériau pur, typiquement le platine, le nickel ou le cuivre.
