Saprolite
La saprolite est une roche résistant aux intempéries. Les saprolites se forment dans les zones inférieures des profilés du sol et représentent des intempéries profondes de la surface rocheuse. Dans la plupart des affleurements, sa couleur provient de composés ferriques. Les profils profondément altérés sont très répandus sur les masses continentales entre les latitudes 35 ° N et 35 ° S.
