La tartrazine est un produit chimique organique synthétique. Il est soluble dans l'eau et a une absorbance maximale dans une solution aqueuse à 427 ± 2 nm. La tartrazine est une couleur couramment utilisée partout dans le monde, principalement pour le jaune, mais peut également être utilisée avec le bleu brillant FCF (FD \u0026 C Blue 1, E133) ou Green S (E142) pour produire diverses nuances vertes.
