Rivière Ussuri
La rivière Ussuri ou la rivière Wusuli, traverse Khabarovsk et Primorsky Krais, en Russie, et la région sud-est du nord-est de la Chine. Il s'élève dans la chaîne Sikhote-Alin, qui coule vers le nord et fait partie de la frontière sino-russe jusqu'à ce qu'elle rejoigne la rivière Amur comme un affluent à Khabarovsk. C'est environ 897 kilomètres de long. La rivière Ussuri draine le bassin d'Ussuri, qui couvre 193 000 kilomètres carrés. Ses eaux proviennent de la pluie, de la neige et des sources souterraines. La décharge moyenne est de 1 150 m³ / s et l'altitude moyenne est de 1 682 m. La rivière Ussuri est réputée pour les inondations catastrophiques. Il se congèle en novembre et reste sous la glace jusqu'en avril. La rivière regorge de différents types de poissons: grayling, esturgeon, saumon à bosse, saumon chum et autres. Au cours de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, la rivière a marqué une des frontières que les forces soviétiques ont traversées en Mandchurie dans l'opération August Storm en 1945. Le conflit frontalier sino-soviétique de 1969 a eu lieu à l'île soviétique de Damansky sur la rivière Ussuri.
