QUE SIGNIFIE VARIABLE-GEOMETRY EN ANGLAIS
Configuration de l'aile
Les aéronefs à voilure fixe, appelés populairement avions, avions ou avions simples, peuvent être construits avec de nombreuses configurations d'ailes. Cette page fournit une répartition des types, permettant une description complète de la configuration d'aile d'un avion. Par exemple, l'aile Spitfire peut être classée comme un monoplane en porte-à-faux conventionnel à aile basse avec des ailes elliptiques droites de rapport d'aspect modéré et un léger dièdre. Parfois, la distinction entre les types est floue, par exemple, les ailes de nombreux avions de combat modernes peuvent être décrites soit comme des deltas composés coupés avec un bord de fuite balayé, soit comme des ailes balayées avec des grandes extensions "Leading Edge Root Extension". Toutes les configurations décrites ont été pilotées sur un avion de taille normale, sauf comme indiqué.
