Accouplement vibronique
Le couplage vibronique dans une molécule implique l'interaction entre le mouvement vibratoire électronique et nucléaire. Le terme «vibronique» provient de la combinaison des termes «vibrationnel» et «électronique». Le mot couplage indique l'idée que, dans une molécule, les interactions vibratoires et électroniques sont interreliées et s'influencent mutuellement, et la grandeur du couplage vibronique reflète le degré d'une telle interrélation. En chimie théorique, le couplage vibronique est négligé dans l'approximation de Born-Oppenheimer. Les couplages vibroniques sont essentiels à la compréhension des processus non-amaigrissants, en particulier à proximité de points d'intersection coniques. Le calcul direct des couplages vibroniques n'est pas courant en raison des difficultés associées à son évaluation.
