ETYMOLOGY OF THE WORD RAMADAN

रमजान इस्लामी कैलेंडर का नौवें महीने है; मुस्लिम विश्वभर में यह उपवास के एक महीने के रूप में मनाया जाता है। इस वार्षिक अनुष्ठान को इस्लाम के पांच स्तंभों में से एक माना जाता है। हदीसों में संकलित कई जीवनी खातों के अनुसार, चंद्रमा के दृश्य दर्शन के आधार पर महीने 29-30 दिनों तक रहता है। शब्द रमजान अरबी जड़ से आता है ramiia या ar-rama, जिसका अर्थ है गर्मी या सूखापन जोर से। उपवास मुसलमानों के लिए मुर्दा है, जो बीमार, यात्रा, गर्भवती, स्तनपान, मधुमेह या मासिक धर्म के खून बहने के माध्यम से जा रहे हैं को छोड़कर। मुस्लिम मक्का से मदीना तक चले जाने के बाद दूसरे वर्ष में रमजान के महीने में शाह के महीने में उपवास करना अनिवार्य था। भोर से सूर्यास्त तक उपवास करते समय, मुसलमान भोजन, पीने के तरल पदार्थ, धूम्रपान और यौन संबंधों में शामिल होने से बचना चाहते हैं; कुछ व्याख्याओं में वे शपथ ग्रहण करने से बचना भी करते हैं सूर्योदय से पहले और सूर्यास्त के बाद दैनिक, भोजन और पेय परोसा जाता है। इस्लाम के मुताबिक, उपवास के थवाब बहुत हैं, लेकिन इस महीने में वे गुणा किया जाने लगा है।
