Chirality / kaɪrælɪtiː / è una proprietà di asimmetria importante in diversi rami della scienza. La parola chiralità deriva dal greco, χειρ, "mano", un oggetto chirale familiare. Un oggetto o un sistema è chirale se non è identico alla sua immagine speculare, cioè non può essere sovrapposto su di esso. Un oggetto chirale e la sua immagine speculare sono chiamati enantiomorfi o, quando si riferiscono a molecole, gli enantiomeri.
