Un acrolito è una scultura composita in pietra e altri materiali, come nel caso di una figura il cui tronco è fatto di legno, mentre la testa, le mani ei piedi sono in marmo. Il legno era nascosto sia da drappeggi o da dorature; Solo le parti di marmo erano esposte alla vista. Questo tipo di statuaria era comune e diffuso nell'antichità classica.
