Ashdod (ebraico: אַשְׁדּוֹד (audio) (aiuto info); arabo: اشدود, إسدود Isdud) è la quinta città più grande d'Israele, situata nel distretto meridionale del paese, sulla costa mediterranea, situata 32 chilometri Mi) a sud di Tel Aviv, 20 km a nord di Ashkelon ea 53 km a ovest di Gerusalemme. Ashdod è un importante centro industriale regionale. Il porto di Ashdod è il porto più grande d'Israele, che rappresenta il 60% delle merci importate del paese.
