Noleggio bareboat
Un charter bareboat è un accordo per la noleggiatura o l'affitto di una nave o di una barca, in base alla quale nessun equipaggio o disposizioni sono inclusi nell'ambito dell'accordo; Invece, le persone che affittano la nave dal proprietario sono responsabili della cura di tali cose. Ci sono differenze legali tra una bareboat charter e altri tipi di accordi charter, comunemente chiamati time or voyage charter. In un viaggio o in un periodo di tempo, il noleggiatore elabora la nave per un determinato viaggio o per un determinato periodo di tempo. In questi charter il noleggiatore può dirigere dove la nave andrà ma il proprietario della nave mantiene la nave grazie al suo impiego del maestro e dell'equipaggio. In una nave a nudo o in disgrazia, invece, il proprietario dà il possesso della nave al noleggiatore e il noleggiatore prende il proprio maestro e equipaggio. Il noleggiatore a nudo è talvolta chiamato "proprietario disponente". La rinuncia al possesso della nave da parte del proprietario è la caratteristica definente di una nave a nolo o scomparsa.
