Legame callabile
Un legame obbligatorio è un tipo di obbligazione che consente all'emittente del prestito di mantenere il privilegio di rimborsare il prestito ad un certo punto prima che il legame raggiunga la data di scadenza. In altre parole, alla data di convocazione, l'emittente ha il diritto, ma non l'obbligo, di rimborsare le obbligazioni dai possessori di obbligazioni ad un prezzo definito. Tecnicamente, le obbligazioni non sono realmente comprate e detenute dall'emittente ma vengono invece annullate immediatamente. Il prezzo di chiamata supererà normalmente il prezzo di emissione o di emissione. In alcuni casi, soprattutto nel mercato dei debiti ad alto rendimento, può esserci un notevole premio di chiamata. Pertanto, l'emittente ha un'opzione che paga offrendo un tasso di cedola più elevato. Se i tassi di interesse sul mercato sono scesi al momento della data di invito, l'emittente sarà in grado di rifinanziare il suo debito a un livello più economico e sarà così incentivato a chiamare i prestiti originariamente emessi. Un altro modo per guardare questa interazione è che, quando i tassi di interesse scendono, il prezzo dei titoli aumenta; Pertanto, è vantaggioso ricomprare le obbligazioni al valore nominale. Con un legame callable, gli investitori hanno il vantaggio di una cedola più alta di quanto avrebbero avuto con un legame non callabile.
