Coopetition o Co-opetition è un neologismo coniato per descrivere la concorrenza cooperativa. La coopetizione è un sostenitore della cooperazione e della concorrenza. I principi fondamentali delle strutture co-educative sono state descritte nella teoria dei giochi, un campo scientifico che ha ricevuto più attenzione con il libro Teoria dei Giochi e Comportamento Economico nel 1944 e le opere di John Forbes Nash su giochi non cooperativi. Viene applicato anche nei settori della scienza politica e dell'economia e persino a livello universale. La coopetione si verifica quando le aziende interagiscono con parziale congruità di interessi. Collaborano tra loro per raggiungere una creazione di valore più elevata rispetto al valore creato senza interazione e lotta per ottenere un vantaggio competitivo. Spesso la coopetizione avviene quando le aziende che si trovano sullo stesso mercato lavorano insieme nell'esplorazione della conoscenza e della ricerca di nuovi prodotti, allo stesso tempo in cui competono per la quota di mercato dei loro prodotti e nello sfruttamento delle conoscenze create. In questo caso, le interazioni si verificano simultaneamente e in diversi livelli della catena del valore.

Coopetition or Co-opetition is a neologism coined to describe cooperative competition. Coopetition is a portmanteau of cooperation and competition. Basic principles of co-opetitive structures have been described in game theory, a scientific field that received more attention with the book Theory of Games and Economic Behavior in 1944 and the works of John Forbes Nash on non-cooperative games. It is also applied in the fields of political science and economics and even universally. Coopetition occurs when companies interact with partial congruence of interests. They cooperate with each other to reach a higher value creation if compared to the value created without interaction, and struggle to achieve competitive advantage. Often coopetition takes place when companies that are in the same market work together in the exploration of knowledge and research of new products, at the same time that they compete for market-share of their products and in the exploitation of the knowledge created. In this case, the interactions occur simultaneously and in different levels in the value chain.
