Dispotismo
Il dispotismo è una forma di governo in cui un'unica entità regola con potere assoluto. Quell'entità può essere un individuo, come in un'autocrazia, o può essere un gruppo, come in un'oligarchia. La parola dispotismo significa "regolare in modo di un despota" e non necessariamente richiede un singolare "despot", un individuo. Despot proviene dai despoti greci, che significa approssimativamente "padrone" o "uno con potere" ed è stato usato per tradurre un'ampia varietà di titoli e posizioni.
