Affitto economico
Nell'economia, l'affitto economico è qualsiasi pagamento a un fattore di produzione superiore al costo necessario per portare tale fattore in produzione. Nell'economia classica, l'affitto economico è qualsiasi pagamento effettuato o il beneficio ricevuto per gli input non prodotti, come la posizione e per le attività formate dalla creazione di privilegi ufficiali sulle opportunità naturali. Nell'economia neoclassica, l'affitto economico include anche i redditi acquisiti dai beneficiari di un'altra esclusività inventata, come le gilde del lavoro e la corruzione non ufficiale. L'affitto economico non deve essere confuso con l'eccedenza produttiva, o un profitto normale, entrambi che comportano un'azione umana produttiva. L'affitto economico è anche indipendente dal costo di opportunità, a differenza del profitto economico, dove il costo dell'opportunità è una componente essenziale. L'affitto economico dovrebbe essere visto come entrate senza ricavi, mentre il profitto economico è un termine più stretto che descrive un concetto più teorico di reddito da eccedenze superiori rispetto alla prossima alternativa più adeguata al rischio. A differenza del profitto economico, l'affitto economico non può essere eliminato dalla concorrenza, dal momento che tutto il valore delle risorse naturali e delle località rende l'affitto economico.
