L'eluizione è un termine utilizzato nella chimica analitica e organica per descrivere il processo di estrazione di un materiale da un altro lavando con un solvente. Ad esempio, in un esperimento di cromatografia liquida, un analito è generalmente adsorbito, o "legato a", un adsorbente in una colonna di cromatografia liquida. L'adsorbente, una fase solida, è una polvere che è rivestita su un supporto solido. Basato sulla composizione di un adsorbente, può avere affinità variabili per "tenere" altre molecole, formando un sottile film sulla sua superficie. L'eluizione è quindi il processo di rimozione di analiti dall'adsorbente eseguendo un solvente, detto "eluente", oltre il complesso adsorbente / analitico.
