Nella fotografia, il valore dell'esposizione è un numero che rappresenta una combinazione della velocità dell'otturatore della fotocamera e del numero f, in modo che tutte le combinazioni che producano la stessa esposizione hanno lo stesso valore EV. Il valore di esposizione viene utilizzato anche per indicare un intervallo sulla scala di esposizione fotografica, con 1 EV corrispondente ad una fase di esposizione standard di potenza di 2, comunemente indicata come stop.
