La reazione Grignard è una reazione chimica organometallica in cui gli alogenuri alchilici, vinilici o aril-magnesio aggiungono ad un gruppo carbonilico in un'aldeide o in un chetone. Questa reazione è uno strumento importante per la formazione di legami carbonio-carbonio. La reazione di un alogenuro organico con il magnesio non è una reazione di Grignard, ma fornisce un reagente di Grignard. Le reazioni e i reagenti di Grignard sono stati scoperti da Francesco Auguste Victor Grignard, il chimico francese che ha ricevuto il premio Nobel per la chimica del 1912 per questo lavoro. I reagenti di Grignard sono simili ai reagenti del organolithium perché entrambi sono nucleofili forti che possono formare nuovi legami di carbonio-carbonio.
