Leontodon
Leontodon è un genere di piante simili a dente di leone nella famiglia Asteraceae, comunemente noto come falchetta. Il loro nome inglese deriva dalla convinzione medievale che i falchi hanno mangiato la pianta per migliorare la loro vista. Anche se originariamente nativo solo in Eurasia e in Africa settentrionale, alcune specie si sono stabilite in altri paesi, tra cui gli Stati Uniti e la Nuova Zelanda. Recenti ricerche hanno dimostrato che il genere Leontodon nella delimitazione tradizionale è poliflettica. Pertanto, l'ex Leontodon subgenero Oporinia è stato elevato a livello generico. Secondo le regole nomenclaturali, il nome Scorzoneroides ha priorità a livello generico e pertanto i membri del subgenero Leontodon Oporinia sono stati trasferiti al genere ricostituito Scorzoneroides.
