Capacità termica
La capacità termica, o la capacità termica, è la quantità fisica misurabile dell'energia termica necessaria per modificare la temperatura di un oggetto per una determinata quantità. L'unità SI di capacità termica è joule per kelvin e la forma dimensionale è M1L2T-2Θ-1. La capacità termica è una proprietà estesa della materia, il che significa che è proporzionale alla dimensione del sistema. Quando esprime lo stesso fenomeno come una proprietà intensiva, la capacità termica è divisa per quantità di sostanza, massa o volume, in modo che la quantità sia indipendente dalla dimensione o dall'ampiezza del campione.
