Giustiniano II
Giustiniano II, soprannominato Rhinotmetos o Rhinotmetus, è stato l'ultimo imperatore bizantino della dinastia Eraclina, regnante dal 685 al 695 e dal 705 al 711. Giustiniano II era un ambizioso e appassionato governatore che desiderava ripristinare l'Impero nelle sue antiche glorie , Ma ha risposto male ad alcuna opposizione alla sua volontà e mancava la finezza di suo padre, Costantino IV. Di conseguenza, ha generato un'enorme opposizione al suo regno, e ha portato alla sua deposizione nel 695 in una rivolta popolare, e solo tornato al trono nel 705 con l'aiuto di un esercito bulgaro e slavo. Il suo secondo regno era ancora più dispotico rispetto al primo, e anche visto il suo eventuale rovesciamento nel 711, abbandonato dal suo esercito che lo aveva rivolto prima di ucciderlo.
