CHE SIGNIFICA LIMIT POINT IN INGLESE
Punto di limite
Nella matematica un punto limite di un insieme S in uno spazio topologico X è un punto x che può essere "approssimato" dai punti di S nel senso che ogni quartiere di x rispetto alla topologia su X contiene anche un punto di S Diverso dalla x stessa. Si noti che x non deve essere un elemento di S. Questo concetto profittamente generalizza la nozione di un limite ed è la base di concetti come la chiusura di set e la chiusura topologica. Infatti, un set è chiuso se e solo se contiene tutti i suoi punti di limite e l'operazione di chiusura topologica può essere considerata come un'operazione che arricchisce un set aggiungendo i suoi limiti.
