Una macchina utensile è una macchina per la lavorazione o la lavorazione di metallo o di altri materiali rigidi, di solito mediante taglio, foratura, rettifica, taglio o altre forme di deformazione. Le macchine utensili impiegano una sorta di utensile che fa il taglio o la modellazione.
