Microscopia
La microscopia è il campo tecnico dell'utilizzo di microscopi per visualizzare campioni e oggetti che non possono essere osservati con l'occhio sinistro. Esistono tre rami ben noti di microscopia: ottica, elettroni e microscopia a scansione. La microscopia ottica ed elettronica comporta la diffrazione, la riflessione o la rifrazione delle radiazioni elettromagnetiche / travi elettroniche che interagiscono con il campione e la successiva raccolta di questa radiazione sparsa o di un altro segnale per creare un'immagine. Questo processo può essere effettuato mediante irraggiamento a campo ampio del campione o mediante scansione di una trave fissa sul campione. La microscopia della sonda di scansione comporta l'interazione di una sonda di scansione con la superficie dell'oggetto di interesse. Lo sviluppo della microscopia rivoluzionò la biologia e rimane una tecnica essenziale nella vita e nelle scienze fisiche.
