Morfometria o morfometria si riferisce all'analisi quantitativa della forma, un concetto che comprende la dimensione e la forma. Le analisi morfometriche vengono generalmente eseguite sugli organismi e sono utili nell'analisi del loro record fossile, dell'impatto delle mutazioni sulla forma, dei cambiamenti nella forma, delle covarianze tra fattori ecologici e forma, nonché per la stima dei parametri quantitativi genetici della forma. La morfometria può essere utilizzata per quantificare un tratto di significatività evolutiva e rilevando i cambiamenti nella forma, deduce qualcosa della loro ontogenesi, delle funzioni o delle relazioni evolutive. Un obiettivo principale della morfometria è quello di testare statisticamente le ipotesi sui fattori che influenzano la forma. "Morfometria", nel senso più ampio del termine, è anche usato per individuare con precisione certe aree di organi come il cervello e viene utilizzato per descrivere le forme di altre cose.
