Condizionamento operante
Il condizionamento operante è un tipo di apprendimento in cui il comportamento di un individuo è modificato dai suoi antecedenti e conseguenze. Il condizionamento strumentale è stato scoperto e pubblicato da Jerzy Konorski ed è stato anche definito come riflessi tipo II. Meccanismi di condizionamento strumentale suggeriscono che il comportamento possa cambiare forma, frequenza o forza. Le espressioni "comportamento operante" e "comportamento rispondente" sono state diffuse da B. F. Skinner che ha lavorato alla riproduzione degli esperimenti di Konorski. Il primo si riferisce a "un elemento di comportamento che è inizialmente spontaneo, piuttosto che una risposta ad uno stimolo precedente, ma le cui conseguenze possono rafforzare o inibire la ricorrenza di quel comportamento". Il condizionamento operante si distingue dal condizionamento classico in quel condizionamento operante che si occupa del rinforzo e della punizione per cambiare il comportamento. Il comportamento degli operai opera sull'ambiente e viene mantenuto condizionando comportamenti riflessivi, suscettibili anche da condizioni antecedenti, mentre il condizionamento classico è mantenuto dai suoi antecedenti e conseguenze.
