CHE SIGNIFICA PHRASAL VERB IN INGLESE
Verbo fisso
Il termine verbo phrasal viene comunemente applicato a due o tre distinte ma connesse costruzioni in inglese: un verbo e una particella e / o una preposizione co-verificano che formano un'unica unità semantica. Questa unità semantica non può essere capita in base ai significati delle singole parti in isolamento, ma può essere considerata nel suo complesso. In altre parole, il significato non è compositivo e quindi imprevedibile. Verbi frazali che includono una preposizione sono conosciuti come verbi preposizionali e verbi frazionali che includono una particella sono anche conosciuti come verbi di particelle. Ulteriori termini alternativi per il verbo frazionario sono il verbo composto, la combinazione verb-avverbio, la costruzione di verbi e particelle, la parola / il verbo a due parti e il verbo a tre parole e il verbo multi-parola.
