La frattura di Pott
La frattura di Pott, conosciuta anche come la frattura di Pott e I e Dupuytren, è un termine arcaico applicato sciolto a una varietà di fratture bimalleolari della caviglia. L'infortunio è causato da una rotazione esterna di rapimento combinata da una forza di eversione. Questa azione tende il forte legamento mediale della caviglia, spesso strappando il malleolo mediale a causa del suo forte attaccamento. Il talus si muove lateralmente, tagliando il malleolo laterale o, più comunemente, spezzando la fibula superiore alla sindrome cosciente tibiofibolare. Se la tibia è trasportata anteriormente, il margine posteriore dell'estremità distale della tibia è anche tagliato dalla talus. Una fibula fratturata oltre a staccare il malleolo mediale strapperà la sindrome umana tibiofibolare. La frattura combinata del malleolo mediale, del malleolo laterale e del margine posteriore dell'estremità distale della tibia è nota come "frattura trimalleolare". Si noti che in una "frattura trimalleolare" l'estremità posteriore distale della tibia è erroneamente etichettata come un malleolus. Un esempio di frattura di Pott sarebbe in una lesione di attacchi sportivi.
