psicologismo
Lo psicologismo è un tipo generico di posizione in filosofia secondo la quale la psicologia svolge un ruolo centrale nel fondamento o nella spiegazione di un altro tipo di fatto o di diritto non psicologico. I tipi più comuni di psicologia sono lo psicologismo logico e lo psicologismo matematico. Lo psicologismo logico è una posizione in logica secondo cui le leggi logiche e le leggi matematiche sono fondate, derivate, spiegate o esauste da fatti psicologici. Lo psicologismo nella filosofia della matematica è la posizione che i concetti matematici e / o le verità sono fondati, derivanti da o spiegati da fatti psicologici. John Stuart Mill sembra essere stato un sostenitore di un tipo di psicologia logica, così come molti logici tedeschi del diciannovesimo secolo come Sigwart e Erdmann, nonché un certo numero di psicologi passati e presenti: ad esempio Gustave Le Bon. Lo psicologo è stato notevolmente criticato da Frege nelle sue The Foundations of Arithmetic e molte sue opere e saggi, inclusa la sua revisione della filosofia di aritmetica di Husserl.
