La Versione Revisionata della Bibbia è una revisione britannica della fine del XIX secolo della versione del Re Giacomo del 1611. Era la prima e rimane l'unica revisione ufficialmente autorizzata e riconosciuta della Bibbia di Re Giacomo. Il lavoro è stato affidato a oltre 50 studiosi provenienti da varie denominazioni in Gran Bretagna. Gli studiosi americani sono stati invitati a collaborare, per corrispondenza. Il Nuovo Testamento è stato pubblicato nel 1881, l'Antico Testamento nel 1885 e l'Apocrypha nel 1894. I membri del comitato di traduzioni più noti furono Brooke Foss Westcott e Fenton John Anthony Hort; Il loro critico più fiero di quel periodo era John William Burgon.
