Il titismo era la dottrina jugoslava di Josip Broz Tito nella politica internazionale della guerra fredda. Il suo background era la liberazione dei Partigiani iugoslavi di Jugoslavia indipendentemente o senza molto aiuto dall'Armata Rossa, in quanto la Jugoslavia era l'unico paese dell'Europa dell'Est per rimanere "socialista ma indipendente" dopo la seconda guerra mondiale e resistere alla pressione dell'Unione Sovietica Diventare membro del Patto di Varsavia. Il termine fu usato originariamente dal governo dell'Unione Sovietica per indicarlo come eresia. Oggi è usato per riferirsi alla Yugo-nostalgia.
