Un touchscreen è un display visivo elettronico che l'utente può controllare attraverso gesti semplici o multitouch toccando lo schermo con uno stilo / penna speciale e una o più dita. La popolarità degli smartphone, delle tavolette e di molti tipi di apparecchiature informatiche sta guidando la domanda e l'accettazione di touchscreen comuni per l'elettronica portatile e funzionale.
