Troposfera
La troposfera è la parte più bassa dell'atmosfera terrestre. Contiene circa l'80% della massa dell'atmosfera e il 99% del suo vapore acqueo e degli aerosol. La profondità media della troposfera è di circa 17 km nelle latitudini medie. È più profondo nei tropici, fino a 20 km e più vicino alle regioni polari, circa 7 km d'inverno.
