Veneto o Venezia è una delle venti regioni d'Italia. La sua popolazione è di circa cinque milioni, vinto quinto in Italia. La capitale e la città più grande della regione sono Venezia. Essendo stato per lungo tempo nella storia una terra di emigrazione di massa, il Veneto è oggi una delle più grandi regioni riceventi immigrati nel paese, con 454.453 stranieri nel 2008, i più recenti di cui sono rumeni e marocchini. La regione ospita un notevole movimento nazionalista. Il più grande partito della regione è la Venetista / Padanista Liga Veneta, un membro fondatore della Lega Nord. L'attuale Presidente del Veneto è Luca Zaia, eletto nel 2010 con 60.
