Il giallo jack, Carangoides bartholomaei, è una specie di pesci marini offshore nella famiglia Jack, Carangidae. È uno dei soli due rappresentanti del suo genere presente nell'Oceano Atlantico, che abita le acque al largo della costa orientale delle Americhe dal Massachusetts al nord fino al Brasile nel sud, così come una serie di isole offshore. Il giallo jack può essere distinto da specie strettamente correlate la lunghezza della mascella, così come i conteggi dei raggi nelle pinne. È un pesce abbastanza grande, con una lunghezza massima registrata di 1 m e un peso di almeno 14 kg. I jack gialli abitano le barriere coralline in mare aperto, spostandosi individualmente o in scuole e sono pesci predatori che prendono principalmente altri piccoli pesci. Studi nei Caraibi suggeriscono che la specie raggiunge la maturità sessuale tra i 23 ei 32 cm, e spawn in acque off-shore da febbraio a ottobre. Le prese gialle sono di importanza economica minima, prese sia dai metodi di gancio che da rete, e sono considerati pesci da tavola equi. Sono spesso catturati da pescatori, anche se sono trascurati per i loro più grandi parenti.
