Xerography

Xerography

Xerography minangka teknik photocopying garing sing diciptakake dening Chester Carlson nalika taun 1938, amarga dheweke dianugerahi Paten A.S. 2,297,691 nalika tanggal 6 Oktober 1942. Carlson asring nyebut elektrophotografi penemuan. Iki banjur diganti jeneng xerografi-saka basa Yunani ξηρός xeros "garing" lan-γραφία -graphia "tulisan" -tegese, ora kaya teknik reproduksi sing digunakake kayadene cyanotype, proses iki ora nganggo bahan kimia cair. Inovasi Carlson dikombinasikake pencetakan elektrostatik dengan fotografi, ora kaya proses pencetakan elektrostatik garing sing diciptakeun dening Georg Christoph Lichtenberg ing 1778. Proses asli Carlson iku rumit, mbutuhake sawetara langkah proses manual kanthi piring datar. Kira-kira 18 taun sadurunge proses sing wis otomatis wis dikembangake, terobosan kunci nggunakake drum silinder sing dilapisi selenium tinimbang piring sing rata. Iki ngasilake mesin fotokopi otomatis komersial pisanan, yaiku Xerox 914, sing dirilis dening Haloid / Xerox ing taun 1960. Sakdurunge taun iku, Carlson wis ngajokake gagasan kanggo luwih saka sepuluh perusahaan, nanging ora ana sing kasengsem. Xerography is a dry photocopying technique invented by Chester Carlson in 1938, for which he was awarded U.S. Patent 2,297,691 on October 6, 1942. Carlson originally called his invention electrophotography. It was later renamed xerography—from the Greek roots ξηρός xeros "dry" and -γραφία -graphia "writing"—to emphasize that, unlike reproduction techniques then in use such as cyanotype, this process used no liquid chemicals. Carlson's innovation combined electrostatic printing with photography, unlike the dry electrostatic printing process invented by Georg Christoph Lichtenberg in 1778. Carlson's original process was cumbersome, requiring several manual processing steps with flat plates. It was almost 18 years before a fully automated process was developed, the key breakthrough being use of a cylindrical drum coated with selenium instead of a flat plate. This resulted in the first commercial automatic copier, the Xerox 914, being released by Haloid/Xerox in 1960. Before that year, Carlson had proposed his idea to more than a dozen companies, but none was interested.

Definisi saka xerography ing bausastra Basa Inggris

Définisi xerografi ing kamus iku prosès fotokopi ing ngendi gambar elektrostatik dibentuk ing piring selenium utawa silinder. Piring utawa silinder diisolasi kanthi wesi resin, sing adhedhasar wilayah sing ditrapake, lan gambar kasebut banjur ditransfer menyang lembaran kertas sing diurutake kanthi dadi panas.

The definition of xerography in the dictionary is a photocopying process in which an electrostatic image is formed on a selenium plate or cylinder. The plate or cylinder is dusted with a resinous powder, which adheres to the charged regions, and the image is then transferred to a sheet of paper on which it is fixed by heating.
