바리온은 3 개의 쿼크로 구성된 복합 아 원자 입자입니다. 바리온과 중간자는 쿼크 기반 입자 인 hadron 계열에 속합니다. "바리온"이라는 이름은 헬라어로 "heavy"라는 단어에서 유래했습니다. 이름이 붙을 때 가장 잘 알려진 기본 입자는 바리온보다 질량이 적기 때문입니다. 쿼크 기반의 입자로서, 바리온은 강력한 상호 작용에 참여하는 반면, 쿼크 기반이 아닌 레톤은 그렇지 않습니다. 가장 익숙한 바리온은 우주에서 보이는 물질의 대부분을 차지하는 양성자와 중성자입니다. 전자는 렙톤입니다. 각 바리톤에는 해당 안티 입자가 있으며, 쿼크는 해당 안티 클록으로 대체됩니다. 예를 들어 양성자는 두 개의 위쪽 쿼크와 하나의 아래쪽 쿼크로 이루어져 있습니다. 앤티 로톤 (antiproton)은 두 개의 위로 향하는 antiquark와 한 개의 antiquark로 구성됩니다. 최근까지 일부 실험에서는 펜타 쿼크 (4 개 쿼크와 1 개 안티 클락으로 이루어진 이국적인 바리온)의 존재를 보여 주었다고 믿었습니다.

A baryon is a composite subatomic particle made up of three quarks. Baryons and mesons belong to the hadron family, which are the quark-based particles. The name "baryon" comes from the Greek word for "heavy", because, at the time of their naming, most known elementary particles had lower masses than the baryons. As quark-based particles, baryons participate in the strong interaction, whereas leptons, which are not quark-based, do not. The most familiar baryons are the protons and neutrons that make up most of the mass of the visible matter in the universe. Electrons are leptons. Each baryon has a corresponding antiparticle where quarks are replaced by their corresponding antiquarks. For example, a proton is made of two up quarks and one down quark; and its corresponding antiparticle, the antiproton, is made of two up antiquarks and one down antiquark. Until recently, it was believed that some experiments showed the existence of pentaquarks — "exotic" baryons made of four quarks and one antiquark.
