신진 (Budding)은 하나의 특정 장소에서 세포 분열로 인해 번식 또는 새싹으로부터 새로운 유기체가 발생하는 무성 생식 (asxual reproduction)의 한 형태이다. 새로운 유기체는 성장함에 따라 부착 된 상태로 남아 있으며, 성숙한 상태에서만 모체에서 분리되어 흉터 조직을 남깁니다. 생식이 무성하기 때문에, 새로 생성 된 유기체는 복제 체이며 부모 유기체와 유 전적으로 동일하다. 히드라와 같은 유기체는 출산 과정에서 재생산을 위해 재생 세포를 사용합니다. 히드라에서는 한 특정 부위에서 반복되는 세포 분열로 인해 번데기가 발생합니다. 이 새싹은 작은 개체로 발전하고 완전히 성숙되면 부모 몸에서 분리되어 새로운 독립적 인 개체가됩니다. 내부 발아 또는 endodyogeny는 Toxoplasma gondii와 같은 기생충이 선호하는 무성 생식 과정입니다. 그것은 두 개의 딸 세포가 분리되기 전에 자손에 의해 소비되는 모 세포 내에서 생산되는 특이한 과정을 수반한다. Endopolygeny는 내부 발아에 의해 한 번에 여러 유기체로 분리됩니다.
