DNA의 이중 나선 구조는 주요 홈과 부홈을 포함하며, 주요 홈은 부홈보다 넓다. 주요 그루브와 마이너 그루브의 폭이 다르기 때문에 DNA에 결합하는 많은 단백질은 넓은 그루브를 통해 그렇게합니다.
