Nuncio는 주교 또는 국제기구에 대한 성좌의 특사 또는 영주권 대리인으로서 교회 외교관의 직함입니다. Nuncio는 교황청에 의해 임명되고 성령을 대표하며 대사관과 동등한 사도 적 보편 교회 (Apostolic Nunciature)라고 불리는 외교 사절의 머리입니다. 성좌는 바티칸 시국이나 카톨릭 교회와 법적으로 구별됩니다. 남자는 보통 대주교입니다. 로마 교황청은 대개 특권 전권 대사와 같은 수준이지만 카톨릭 국가에서는 종종 외교 정책에서 대사가 위를 차지한다. 유태인은 대사와 동일한 기능을 수행하며 동일한 외교 특권을가집니다. 1961 년 외교 관계에 관한 비엔나 협약 하에서 교황청이 정당 인 난시 오는 다른 어느 나라의 대사와도 같습니다. 비엔나 협약 (Vienna Convention)은 호스트 국가가 다른 국가보다 우선권을 우선권 자에게 부여하고, 선출직에 상관없이 그 나라의 외교 부장을 공무원에게 부여 할 수 있습니다.
